Ahead of the start of previews, Walt Disney World has issued a few more details regarding the specifics of the reopenings, particularly with regards to the arrival process and transportation. The following details were released to Cast Members, and we expect many of them to apply to reopenings moving forward. Do note that guests will be permitted to enter and exit the park throughout the day, but parking lot trams will not be available. You can read the full details below:
Cast Members with a confirmed registration will receive a Know Before You Go email in advance of your preview date at the email address provided during the registration process.
Park Arrival Process
You and your Guests may enter the designated theme park at the Main Entrance any time during the park operating hours on your specified date.
You will be allowed to enter and exit the theme park as needed throughout the day.
Visiting more than one park during your preview will not be allowed.
Everyone in your party MUST enter the park at the same time.
Children younger than age 3 will not count as one of your Guests and will not need a pass to enter the theme park.
Tram service will NOT be available from the Guest parking lot to the Main Entrance of any theme park. Please plan on walking a longer than normal distance to the Main Entrance.
Social distancing must be practiced in the parking lots and cars should be parked in every other spot.
For EPCOT®, the monorail from the Transportation & Ticket Center will not be in operation. You MUST park in the EPCOT® Guest Parking Lot.
If you have chosen EPCOT® for your Cast Preview, you MUST use the Main Entrance to enter the park. (International Gateway will NOT be available for entrance or exit during the Cast Previews.)
For Magic Kingdom® Park, there will be no tram service from the parking lot to the Transportation & Ticket Center, but the Express Monorail and the Ferryboats will be available to transport you and your Guests from the Transportation & Ticket Center to Main Entrance.
Once again, it’s unconfirmed if these same arrival procedures will apply for Annual Passholders and guests attending previews later in the week, but these factors are good to know if you’re planning ahead for your own preview slot.
