Boarding Groups for Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance at Disney’s Hollywood Studios Now Display MaxPass-Style “Entry Code” on My Disney Experience

New this morning, guests who succeeded in obtaining a Boarding Group for Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance at Disney’s Hollywood Studios were surprised to see a new feature now testing on the My Disney Experience app.

After obtaining a Boarding Group, the loading page now shows current groups now boarding, as well as a new “View Entry Code” button which leads you to a page with a scannable barcode, almost identical to the MaxPass system in place at Disneyland Park for the attraction.

The attraction’s Virtual Queue system was recently revised to lower the number of booking windows to two, at 10:00 AM and 2:00 PM. It’s still unknown whether this new interface on the My Disney Experience app will remain for the near future.

Thanks to reader Michael (@OhMichaelG on Twitter) for the heads up!

  1. Could you explain MaxPass? Never been to DisneyLand, used to be WDW Passholder. I’ve not heard of MaxPass before, probably because it’s not widely used at WDW. Would love to hear more, or maybe a link to a previous article discussing it?

  2. We thought the queue restriction was pretty lame! We have a family of 5 and both times, we got to the add members screen and we just weren’t fast enough to add all 5 family members. It seems a little slated against large families as well as those who may not be so tech savvy. Why not have an add all or an ability to add all your members before the queue time opens?
