Reopening Policy Options

We know that many Passholders are excited to get back to the magic—and we’re eager to see our cherished Passholders, too. We also recognize that Park reservations will change the way that many of our Passholders use their pass. With that in mind, we are offering these alternative options to manage your pass.

If you are an Annual Passholder that has paid in full, your options are:

  • Receive an additional one-month (30 days) extension to your pass (unless you choose to cancel your pass). This additional month will automatically be processed and visible in your My Disney Experience account over the coming weeks.
  • If you prefer, and in lieu of the one-month extension, you may choose to cancel your annual pass(es). Your pass will remain valid through August 11, 2020 and will be canceled effective August 12, 2020. You will be refunded for the remaining access days of your annual pass from July 11, 2020 through your pass expiration date (as extended, if applicable). Refunds to original form of payment can be expected by mid- to late September. Refunds may take up to an additional month to receive if original form of payment is not available. To request this option, contact V.I.PASSHOLDER Support at (407) 939-7277.

If you are an Annual Passholder on the monthly payment plan, your options are:

  • Receive an additional one-month (30 days) extension to your pass(es) (unless you choose to cancel your pass(es)). This additional month will automatically be processed and visible in your My Disney Experience account over the coming weeks.
  • If you prefer, and in lieu of the additional one-month extension, you may choose to cancel your annual pass(es). If you choose this option, monthly payments will be stopped starting August 12, 2020. Your pass(es) will remain valid through August 11, 2020 and will be canceled effective August 12, 2020. Any payments made between July 11, 2020 and August 11, 2020 will be retroactively refunded. If you made a payment between March 14, 2020 through April 4, 2020 that was not already refunded, that payment will also be retroactively refunded. Refunds to original form of payment can be expected by mid- to late September. Refunds may take up to an additional month to receive if original form of payment is not available. To request this option, contact V.I.PASSHOLDER Support at (407) 939-7277.

Now through August 11, 2020, call V.I.PASSHOLDER Support at 407-939-7277 to cancel your pass or for assistance on any individual concerns. Please note that once submitted, selections cannot be changed.

Please note: We will email Annual Passholders these details in phases over the course of several hours beginning the afternoon of July 14.

  1. This is a terrible resolution to all the pass holder complaints. Disney is telling APs to screw off. For months of limitations

  2. So they are offering only a 30 day extension for the months the park was closed? Just making sure to know what the best decision is.

  3. So if we cancel we are refunded from July 11 but get to use the pass to August 11? Just checking to make sure it’s not a typo, I can see myself doing something like that.

  4. Come on Disney, just give me my money back already and stop holding it hostage. I want to come back, just not right now.

  5. This is incorrect—happened to me—you need to wait for an email with a personalized link so you can cancel your pass. I called the number above based on the post and they told me what I just mentioned. FYI for those who may be confused :)

    • Have you received this email yet? It seems like I hear everyone else getting one except me. Maybe they are sending them out in batches

  6. I have not received an email with a link. When I spoke to someone on chat they said I could cancel with them. I have them all of my information. Then they said I have to call. I have been on hold for an hour already and the automated system said it would be 11 minutes. I am so disappointed in Disney.

  7. I’m am very unhappy on how Disney is taken advantage of us during this difficult time. Disney only cares about the money and not about the food they are taking from children’s mouths. I have called and emailed several times to cancel my membership since we are down to one income at this time due to the pandemic. Disney took money from my account again today (remind you I have cancelled several times) and now I am short on my mortgage because of it…. Thanks a lot Disney for your ungreatful, uncaring, and selfish way of conducting business. I’ll never purchase a pass here again! I thought this was supposed to be the happiest place on earth but they continue to devastate my life month after month…. shame on you!!!!!

  8. I have been calling to cancel my family’s APs since April. At no point can anyone tell me how much of a refund to anticipate, or when it will be paid back to me. Disney is literally keeping me in the dark about over $1,000 when you account for everything. This recent article only further confuses me…

    • I’m in the same boat as you. Trying to call now, but don’t expect much. I’ve heard that the refund is a proportion of days used on your pass already. But also heard it’s time left. I don’t doubt they’d do the former, but given that they’re simply halting payments on monthly passes, technically, you could have used 100 days already and then not have to pay for the remaining time.

  9. I never got the email. Called and put on hold for 40 minutes, nothing but music. Now all circuits are busy. This is bad.Almost out of time.

  10. Very disappointed in Disney!! Have been a pass holder for many years now. Been giving the runaround for month now. I would love to start our Disney family tradition back next year but Disney is making it very hard for me to ever want to come back. They keep talking about an email, I never received an email. I’m so frustrated right now!!!

    • I’ve tried calling for 3 weeks straight and am always hit with “all circuits are busy”. I was never sent an email with a link. Now it’s past August 11, so now I’m stuck paying full price for 2 platinum passes I got to use ONCE. Insane.
