We visited Fort Wilderness Landing and took a boat to Magic Kingdom to see what social distancing measures have been set up.
Disney’s standard COVID-19 warning and social distancing signs were just outside the landing.
The dock has social distancing markers on both sides.
Despite both sides having social distancing markers, the right side is currently an exit only, while the left side is where you board the watercraft to Magic Kingdom.
We spotted some construction nearby.
Then our boat arrived.
Discovery River Boats was an original attraction at Disney’s Animal Kingdom. With the attraction long closed, Disney has recycled all the boats for other transportation purposes.
Social distancing on the boat is not unlike the current social distancing measures on EPCOT’s Friendship Boats. Guests must sit in every other row, on alternating sides of the boat.
“Not available” signs indicate that no aisle seating is permitted.
When exiting at Magic Kingdom, more social distancing markers ensure guests keep six feet apart when crowds get backed up. You can also see floor circles for parties to stand on when waiting for a boat to arrive.
We were then funneled through temperature screenings by AdventHealth.
Keep watching WDWNT for more information about social distancing measures at Walt Disney World.
