Welcome to the future! Or should I say, your future!”

TikTok user Hallie Grace has posted a video of a strange error that happened to a Spaceship Earth touch screen. Instead of the usual screensaver that plays for most of the ride, Hallie’s vehicle opened the Intel HD Graphics Control Panel displaying a World of Warcraft ad:

You should’ve seen us try to explain this to the cast member at the exit #Epcot #Disneyworld #wdw #waltdisneyworld #spaceshipearth #MyBFF #fyp #foryou

When Hallie moves the camera around, you can see the classic Spaceship Earth scene featuring an Egyptian hammering reeds into paper. The friends laugh as one asks “What should my future be?” and then they select “Gaming” on the touch screen.

The screen usually displays this 2D rendering of Spaceship Earth.

This error likely happened because the Intel graphics driver was recently updated and someone forgot to turn off the “open on boot” option, so it opened the control panel mid-ride.

Hallie’s caption for the video is “You should’ve seen us try to explain this to the cast member at the exit.” These kinds of errors happen relatively rarely, but still on occasion aboard screen-based rides, like Toy Story Midway Mania!:

Do you wish you could play World of Warcraft while riding Spaceship Earth? This is definitely not an everyday attraction mishap and as fun as it is, we doubt we’ll be seeing it again.
