The Harry Potter movies are currently on HBO Max, but will be removed August 25th after being on for only three months. According to the President of Content Acquisition and Strategy for Peacock, Francis Manfredi, the movies will be available for at least a month during its first window on the NBCUniversal streaming service between October 2020 and March 2021. They will then appear again during those six months for several more windows.

WarnerMedia, the parent company of HBO Max, owns the underlying rights to the Harry Potter franchise. Before the release of HBO Max, they signed over some television and streaming service rights to NBCUniversal until 2025. Because of this, we will likely see Harry Potter appear on both streaming services until 2025 at different windows of time. Meaning, for a few months at a time you can watch these movies on Peacock, then they will leave and jump over to HBO Max and be viewed there.
