Universal Studios Japan has announced that, starting with visits on September 1, 2026, it will update the pricing system for Studio Passes (also known as park admission tickets). Tickets go on sale July 1.
Studio Pass Pricing Update

Under the new system, ticket prices may be reviewed and adjusted by date after sales begin, based on demand. Through this change, the park aims to enhance the guest experience while also improving operational efficiency.
In addition, for visits on or after September 1, a new price tier of ¥8,400 (tax included) has been introduced. This is ¥500 lower than the lowest price offered during the past year (since August 2025). By expanding the range of more affordable ticket options, the park hopes to provide guests with more opportunities to purchase admission tickets at lower prices and encourage more people to consider visiting.
Under the updated pricing system, tickets will initially be offered at the lowest price tier set for each date. Depending on demand, prices may increase within the established pricing range after sales begin. As a result, purchasing tickets early will generally provide the best value.
In addition to the one-day admission ticket, the “1-Day Studio Pass,” the park also offers a variety of ticket options to suit guests’ needs, including the “1.5-Day Studio Pass,” the “2-Day Studio Pass,” and the “Twilight Pass,” which allows entry from 3:00 p.m. onward.
