In the latest aerial photos from bioreconstruct on X, we see that railings have been added along the tracks at Fast & Furious: Hollywood Drift. Bio also captured a shot of lightning cracking through the background.
Fast & Furious: Hollywood Drift Railings

Steel railings have now been installed around portions of the coaster track. As you can see above, the railings are on tall platforms just beside the track edge.

In addition to the railings, bio also captured an image of the overbank curve, which is almost complete. It appears to just be missing the middle section.

Even from this angle, it appears the section will be completed soon.

Bio also captured this photo of lightning striking in the background of the roller coaster construction during a storm yesterday, June 29.
Yesterday we published nighttime photos from bio that showed new block break sections and track installations. A close-up view of this part of the track shows the steepness of this curved track addition. It connects to the A-frame sections that were installed last week.

The massive spike element remains one of the most prominent features on the site. Universal previously described the spike as sending riders nearly 17 stories into the air over the outskirts of Universal CityWalk. The spike structure stands over the lagoon-side edge of the project. The 170-foot-tall spike will be a dead-end, forcing the ride vehicles to stop and change direction.
Fast and Furious: Hollywood Drift replaces Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit and is expected to open in 2027. One version of the coaster, however, will open soon at Universal Studios Hollywood.
