These scanners are mostly inspired by different Disney attractions. They light up just like a MagicBand scanner at the parks would, but they also play music and sound effects from their attraction.
This Splash Mountain scanner plays “Zip-A-Dee-Doo-Dah.”
This motion-activated Haunted Mansion scanner plays a different audio clip from the Haunted Mansion with each wave of the hand. Some of the scanners are activated by MagicBands, and some are motion-activated.
If Tower of Terror is your favorite spooky attraction, then you can get this scanner that plays the ride’s opening spiel.

Cool Concept, but for $349 they look like garbage. The electronics are sound, but that’s it.
Those are nicer than the ones that Disney uses at those attractions. Perhaps Disney will buy the concept and expand on it?
