REVIEW: New UOAP Exclusive Strawberry Lemonade Heart from Voodoo Doughnut is a Sweet Summer Treat at Universal Orlando Resort

Passholder Appreciation Days have begun at Universal Orlando Resort, and Voodoo Doughnut at CityWalk is showing the love with this UOAP Appreciation Doughnut, exclusively for annual passholders!

The fried yeast doughnut is shaped into a heart, topped with a black icing and decorated in the neon pink, yellow, blue and green of the classic Universal Studios marquee, with UOAP smack in the center, and filled with a strawberry lemonade cream.

With all this love, we just had to walk this over to the entrance to Universal Studios Florida!

This is also where we realized that the icing melts rather quickly in the sun, so we suggest eating this as quickly as possible.

We found ourselves impressed with this doughnut. It was extremely fresh, thick and fluffy. The frosting and shell were similar to the doughnut that was released for the Universal Studios Florida 30th anniversary celebration.

The sweet, runny icing was a contrast to the thick, tart filing. The inside is packed full of the strawberry lemonade custard.

It’s more on the tart, sour lemonade side, with just a touch of strawberry.

It comes a bit of a shock for your taste buds early in the morning, but it definitely woke us up.

It’s a delicious doughnut with a very summery flavor explosion in the center.

The doughnut sells for $3.75, and it makes for a relatively inexpensive snack. Of course, this is only one small part of the special UOAP-exclusive food items for Passholder Appreciation Days, which run through September 30th. Be sure to check out the full menu here!
