On September 4th, 2020, Tokyo DisneySea turns 19 years old. Often regarded as the greatest Disney theme park ever built, DisneySea forever changed the industry, and in many ways, the other Disney resorts around the world are still playing catchup (from a quality and storytelling aspect) almost two decades later.

I have traveled to Japan quite a bit over the last two years or so, and most of the reason is to see this park again and again. It never ceases to impress. There are vistas so beautiful you couldn’t fathom that someone imagined them. There is a level of detail unrivaled in any artistic endeavor ever within the entertainment industry. On top of all that, there’s also three of the best rides Disney has ever made that are unique to the park, as well as two interpretations of classic attractions that might be the best versions on the planet.

In celebration of the occasion, I’ve dug up some of my favorite videos from Tokyo DisneySea to share with you:

Those 3 unique attractions that are worth the trip alone would be Journey to the Center of the Earth, 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea, and Sindbad’s Storybook Voyage.

The park’s newest attraction is a stunning version of Soarin’ called Soaring Fantastic Flight, and we were there on opening day to check it out.
