I use antlers in all of my decorating. Gaston’s Tavern has officially reopened at the Magic Kingdom after remaining closed through the park’s initial reopening, and it seems this quiet village is finally coming back to life.

The quick-service spot was seen prepping for the imminent reopening earlier in the week.

The nearby Bonjour! Village Gifts remains closed at this time, however.

Social distancing markers have been set up leading into the tavern.

The queue remains distanced throughout, up until you reach the registers.

Speaking of registers, plexiglass barriers have been set up along the ordering and pick-up stations. Thankfully, the cute barrels are still in place.

Gaston’s Tavern has always had a limited snack menu, currently offering just the classic LeFou’s Brew alongside a bevy of other beverages, plus the location’s famous Warm Cinnamon Rolls, and, borrowed from the nearby Be Our Guest Restaurant, The Grey Stuff Cupcake.

Ordering still takes place at the register here at the tavern.

Throughout, social distancing signage is posted on trash cans, which have also been propped open.

Designated exits are located throughout Gaston’s Tavern, with hand sanitizer available as you leave.

Outside, certain tables have been marked as unavailable to aid in social distancing.

Inside, you can still sit by the fireplace and enjoy your warm cinnamon roll before heading back out into the 90-degree heat.

Condiments and utensils are available throughout the restaurant.

As the morning progressed, the line began to wind outside of the establishment.

With many tables marked unavailable, it may be difficult to find a place to sit once the afternoon crowds pick up.

While we were here, of course, we had to dig in to a Grey Stuff Cupcake, which will run you $5.49, and is the same one that was previously sold at Be Our Guest Restaurant for their popular fast-casual lunch option. For now, the restaurant is doing table-service only for both lunch and dinner, so they’ve moved this fan-favorite treat here for all to enjoy in the meantime.

The cupcake is just as delicious as we remembered it, with cookies and cream frosting piled high on top of a chocolate cake base, and topped with chocolate crunchy pearls.

Now you can start your day with a cupcake at Gaston’s Tavern… it sure beats four dozen eggs. Gaston’s Tavern is open every day from 9:00 PM to 4:00 PM.
