PHOTOS: Liberty Square Walkway Refurbishment Begins at the Magic Kingdom

Part of the walkway in the Magic Kingdom’s Liberty Square has been roped off for what appears to be a refurbishment.

The patch being worked on is located just off of the entrance to the Liberty Square Riverboat, which reopened earlier this week after its annual refurbishment.

Luckily, trash cans are still accessible behind the ropes, which is good news for guests looking for a place to throw out their trash after they eat at Liberty Square Market.

The ground work has created a bottleneck in the area, as it takes up half the walkway.

While it’s unknown how long this refurbishment will last, it may lead to crowding in the area when Labor Day weekend rolls around.
