Tokyo Disney Resort Resuming Vacation Package Reservations Starting September 10, with Special Character Greeting Packages Through October 15

The latest step in the recovery of Tokyo Disney Resort would appear to be the resumption of Vacation Package reservations, which bundle park tickets with a stay at a Disney Hotel among other benefits. While these plans don’t include some of the more helpful benefits, like extra FastPasses, special show seats, or Happy 15 Entry, there is one special benefit—unique photo opportunities with specially-costumed Disney characters!

There are four package types, each varying in price by room and hotel choice. Each plan consists of two days at the parks and one night at your hotel, with a special dining reservation, a popcorn bucket for each Guest, merchandise voucher, and free photo.

The first package features the chance to get pictures of Mickey on his Big Band Beat drum set. This is surprisingly rare, actually, as photography is strictly forbidden within the Broadway Music Theater most of the time. This plan is the most expensive of the four, ranging from ¥60,000 ($566.28) to ¥207600 ($1959.33) depending on which room tier you choose. This plan is only available for higher tier rooms at each resort, unlike the other three plans. On this plan, Guests spend their first day at Tokyo Disneyland and can choose from one of their table-service restaurants for dinner, followed by breakfast at the hotel and a day at Tokyo DisneySea. Dates eligible are September 23 through October 15, excluding October 2.

The second plan features a distant greeting of Mickey and Minnie in their outfit from The Diamond Horseshoe and is available for every room type at the resort’s three deluxe hotels. The price ranges from Â¥49800 ($470.01) to Â¥139300 ($1314.71) depending on your room and day choice and starts off at Tokyo DisneySea, where Guests may choose a special dinner reservation from one of the park’s table service restaurants. Then Guests visit Tokyo Disneyland on the second day. Dates eligible are September 24 through October 15.

The third plan, also available for all hotel types, features a distant greeting with Mickey and Minnie in their outfits from the Polynesian Terrace Restaurant at Tokyo Disneyland. The price ranges from ¥49800 ($470.01) to ¥139300 ($1314.71) depending on your room and day choice and starts off at Tokyo Disneyland. Then Guests visit Tokyo DisneySea on the second day, where they may choose from its table service restaurants for a special lunch reservation. Dates eligible are September 25 through October 15 excluding October 2.

And the last option involves a meet-and-greet with some of the Disney Villains at the Broadway Music Theater in Tokyo DisneySea. The price ranges from ¥49400 ($466.24) to ¥135500 ($1278.85) depending on your room and day choice and starts off at Tokyo DisneySea. Then Guests visit Tokyo Disneyland on the second day, where they may choose from its table service restaurants for a special lunch reservation. Dates eligible are October 1 through 15.

While these plans don’t include usual special items like guaranteed FastPasses, show seats, or Disney Resort Line passes, it’s still encouraging to see Vacation Package reservations resuming in yet another step towards normality at the Tokyo Disney Resort. Stay tuned to WDWNT for the latest information as the resort recovers from COVID-19.
