BREAKING: Universal Studios Florida and Universal’s Islands of Adventure Have Reached Capacity Before Noon

Universal Studios Florida and Universal’s Islands of Adventure have reached capacity as of 11:48 AM. The parking garages have closed to additional guests, but guests staying at Universal Orlando Resort hotels and guests with single day dated tickets may still access the parks at this time.

This is the second consecutive Saturday that the theme parks have reached capacity. Last weekend’s crowds were likely due to the extended Columbus Day holiday weekend. It appears that a “normal” weekend is enough to draw a capacity crowd.

Keep checking WDWNT for park capacity updates.

  1. Here I was thinking of buying an annual pass to Universal because Disney isn’t selling them right now, and was/is priced too high for me, and always seemed more crowded. Never mind.

    • The parks seemed to only stay at capacity for at max 1 1/2 hours. My family took that chance to eat some lunch and we were let into the park despite the app still saying they were at capacity.

    • I am a pass holder and was there while at capacity. Without fast passes I still managed to get threw both parks ride several ride and Hagrids 3 times. Universal is where it’s at. Js

  2. It was actually at 11 am, 15 minutes earlier than last Saturday . Both dry parks at 11 and city walk followed at 1115

  3. Im sorry but why is this even happening?? Covid is ramped, specially in Florida! If the doors stay open it will never go away and tourists will never be able to return. Disney is our happy place too but our health and our loved ones health is more important!

  4. Went yesterday (Saturday). Extremely hot, over packed and way too many Nazi’s for facemask patrol. These dumb ass rules are just that…dumb as shit 💩 People wear masks that don’t prevent a virus. Take them off to eat in crowded rooms/dining. The country is being run by pansies !!!

    • oh shut up. that’s the park’s rules. dont go if you have complaints. that easy!!! also its not just an American rule–the whole world does it. you’re just the ahole one! you’re one of the reasons why america is number 1 in cases! people like you dumbass

    • It takes a true patriot to wear a mask and social distance. It means you care about other people and our country. Be a patriot John. Nobody enjoys wearing them.

  5. This post was a lie. Big fat lie. For likes and clicks and views. I was there. I left, I came back, twice, at 1pm and at 6pm. Garages never closed. Parks never reached capacity. We don’t take the hog warts express because of the line, so we literally exit the park to go enter the other one, over and over. Lines at the parking garage were long all three times and never closed at all.

    • The capacity is listed on the app, we just go by officially released info. What they do at the gates isn’t something that can be checked so quickly, Universal recommends checking the app, so that’s what we use.
