Local 362 Union Announces No Part-Time Attractions or Custodial Cast Members Will Be Laid Off at Walt Disney World

With the majority of layoffs completed across the domestic Disney Parks sector, devastating news of layoffs has thankfully come to a halt, and now a rare bit of good news from a local union has come to light.

According to Unite Here! Local 362, which represents food service, hotel, and theme park workers at Walt Disney World and across Central Florida, no Part-Time Attractions or Custodial Cast Members will be laid off at this time. Disney informed them that as a result of the Full-Time displacement process, all Attractions and Custodial Cast Members will keep working.

The Walt Disney Company restored the salaries of its Senior Executives in late August, when thousands of Cast Members were still on furlough.

We at WDWNT are supporting these Cast Members as much as possible. You can help too! Help raise money for the Cast Member Pantry by donating directly through WDWNT.

The donation-based organization also has an Amazon Wish List as well as Venmo—their account is: @castmemberpantry. Cast Members can email Cast Member Pantry or contact them via their Facebook page to book a 15-minute “shopping” window.
