PHOTO REPORT: Disney’s Hollywood Studios 10/19/20 (New Open Edition Pins, New Haunted Mansion Dooney & Bourke Bags, Build-Your-Own Lightsaber “Scrap Metal” Pieces Available, and More)

Hey howdy hey from another beautiful day at Disney’s Hollywood Studios! While we did get a little wet with some rain showers in the afternoon, the morning had perfect park weather, and we had a great time finding all the new things here for you. Let’s get started!

Early in the morning, once again, the doors to backstage in Galaxy’s Edge were opened to allow extra space to guests to queue for Millenium Falcon: Smugglers Run. Shortly after 10am, the line had reached capacity, and Cast Members were no longer allowing guests to join the queue, which snaked its way throughout the land, finally ending near the Marketplace.

Similarly, long lines led to Cast Members opening up the gates to the Municiberg area, which has been closed since the reopening of the park. While this area was open just to house the queues for Toy Story Mania! and Joffreys Coffee, it was nice to just see this area once again.

Tape markers had been put down to guide guests to maintain social distance and use the space to their advantage.

There’s been a lot of additions to menus across Walt Disney World property recently, the latest of which is the return of this Southwest Chicken Salad to Backlot Express. Now those guests wishing for a healthier option can find one here.

Last week, we found a sale on glow items, and this week, we found out that this sale includes glow or light up ears! These Alien ears, originally $20, are now $10, which means that an Annual Passholder or Disney Vacation Club Member could get them for just $7 after their discount.

We found several new open edition pins today. The first features Bruni from Frozen II and is available at Mickey’s of Hollywood and The Darkroom for $9.99.

The next pin we found features Elsa and the Nokk from Frozen II, and is available at The Darkroom for $12.99.

The third features Anna in her coronation gown from Frozen II, and is available at The Darkroom for $12.99.

We found a pin originally due to release in March, before the closure of the parks. This pin features Beast from Beauty and the Beast, and can be found at Mickey’s of Hollywood for $12.99.

Lastly, we found this blind box set featuring characters from Coco.

Each box contains two randomly selected pins. This blind box was found at The Darkroom for $15.99.

Just outside of Savi’s Workshop in Blackspire Outpost, a small case of drawers appeared, which we wanted to check out.

Inside we found parts available for lightsabers built at Savi’s, available by the piece, in order to change the look of your lightsaber or repair a piece as needed. For full details and more pictures, see our article here.

A new collection of Dooney & Bourke bags featuring the iconic Haunted Mansion wallpaper was released in Walt Disney World today, and was available at Legends of Hollywood. While the only advertised release location was Disney Springs, the full collection was available here as well, and there was virtually no wait to purchase these beautiful bags.

On our way out of the park in between rain showers, we caught the Mickey & Friends Motorcade, and were surprised to see that Mickey Mouse was walking, while he normally rides in a decorated car like Minnie Mouse. Minnie was the only one riding today, and everyone seemed in good spirits despite the weather.

We had a great day at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and we hope you enjoyed coming along with us. Have a magical day!
