We’re back at the Universal Orlando Resort to check in on the latest updates happening around the parks. We started our journey at Universal Studios Florida just to see how the crowds are looking ahead of the weekend.
We arrived late in the afternoon and were pleasantly surprised at how busy it is. It’s much busier today compared to the quiet weekdays we’re used to. Wait times are still low, but it’s not quite as dead around the parks as it has been.
The merchandise kiosk next to the entrance for Universal Monsters: The Bride of Frankenstein Lives house is now officially The Holiday Outpost. They’ve got all the light up Christmas tree necklaces and reindeer antler headbands you need to get you in the mood for a haunted house.
A new “Sweet 16” Halloween Horror Nights 2006 poster is available in the Tribute Store for $15.
The Tribute Store has a new deal when you purchase a Jack T-Shirt, poster, and shot glass for $40, you get a free HHN lanyard.
If you’re looking to take a break from your face mask, the entrance to the Central Park U Rest has moved back slightly.
In Springfield, we noticed one of the doors at the Kwik-E-Mart is cracked along the bottom and in need of repair.
The crowds aren’t too bad over at Islands of Adventure, but it is still pretty busy for a weekday. That’s a good sign for business.
The rock work continues to take shape around the new Harry Potter and the Forbidden lockers. It’s nice to know this will blend in with the area.
InGen ride vehicle testing is still taking place for the Jurassic World VelociCoaster, and today we spotted them taking the vehicle through the rock forms. The coaster has officially been announced with concept art and more details and even a POV concept video.
That’s all for today. We’re making our way out of here but we’ll be back again real soon, so stay tuned!
