The new resort launch dock outside Magic Kingdom is coming along quickly, with trees planted and canopy added recently. When we checked on the dock today, not much had changed, but there were some more canopy pieces.

This area will eventually be filled with more plants and grass.

New canopy was added to the front of the shade structure.

There was a worker and some equipment in this area.

Canopy will also need to be added on the structure further down the walkway.

Shrubbery and grass will also fill in the dirt areas in this planter.

As we rode the monorail, we kept an eye out for progress at the bus loop, but it looked the same as it has been for a few weeks.

Meanwhile, the pathway originally put in place to connect the Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort walkway to Magic Kingdom’s Monorail station is being dismantled.

There’s now just a dirt path where the ramp and tent previously were. This suggests that Disney has decided not to open the walkway until the construction on the dock is complete.

Benches and lampposts line the last stretch of unpaved path leading to the docks.
