The Lost Continent at Universal’s Islands of Adventure has been going through a lot of changes lately. After the temporary closure of Poseidon’s Fury, this area of the park has been pretty quiet. In an effort to bring new life into this part of the park, we’ve noticed new background music as well as new character meet and greets. Now guests can meet Po, the loveable panda, from the Dreamworks film “Kung Fu Panda”.

Tigress recently debuted near Mythos restaurant, but it seems she’s been moved to a new spot so she and Po have more space to practice their Kung Fu. You can find their meet and greet location directly across from Fire Eater’s Grill. They bring a lot of fresh energy to the area.

Typically, King Julien would ride out on a Jeep in this area, but we’ve found he’s been moved just down the pathway to where we’ve previously found Gloria from “Madagascar”. If you’re approaching the area and see a cloud of smoking billowing from behind King Julien, that’s not special effects. The smoking area is directly behind this meet and greet location.
