The Waffles booth at the Taste of EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival has a new menu, so we had to try the new dishes.

Previously, the menu had a Belgian waffle with warm chocolate ganache and a Belgian waffle with berry compote. The waffle with chocolate ganache remains, but there is now a bananas foster waffle and a chicken and waffle dish.

The sauce was delicious and had the perfect sticky-sweet taste.

The bananas were soft and perfectly cooked.

The waffle overall has the perfect caramelized taste, without tasting burnt. The portion size is great, too. We basically licked the plate clean!

Chicken and Waffle – $6.30

This chicken and waffle is topped with bacon, jam, and sriracha maple syrup.

This dish was a great mix of salty and sweet. The jam helped further this flavor profile, too.

The arugula gives a nice flavor on top without being overpowering.

You can taste the sriracha, but it’s not spicy. The maple cools it down.

The chicken does look pink inside at times, but we witnessed the chef speak with a guest about it, and he assured her that they temp cook the chicken and it is safe to eat.

This is a really delicious and fun twist on the traditional chicken and waffles. We’ll be getting this dish every time we’re here from now on!
