It’s been a while since we’ve stopped into Islands of Adventure to check out the latest construction around the Jurassic World VelociCoaster. While navigating our way through Jurassic Park today, we spotted several new additions along the construction site, including a variety of fresh new trees and plants.

Several new trees have sprung up around the outside of the raptor paddock walls. This lush vegetation is really bringing the area back to life.

We also noticed several new lighting fixtures have been added along the top of the paddock, near the electric fencing. These round, blue lights have been installed several places along the top of the paddock.

The raptor that we can see is still wrapped in plastic for now.

Closer to the lagoon, there are even more plants, as well as fencing added along the water. The light brown metal pieces have replaced temporary wooden beams and red tape to form a permanent barrier along the water.

The construction walls have extended out and covered part of the entrance of The Burger Digs, but don’t worry, they’re still open. The staircase on the corner of this building is also fully enclosed by perforated metal walls now.

That’s all for this update on the Jurassic World VelociCoaster. What do you think of all the new thematic details added to the coaster and surrounding area? Let us know in the comments if you’ll be braving the Jurassic World VelociCoaster when it opens Summer 2021!
