Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway is testing Plexiglass dividers on ride vehicles, much like Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance did before adding Plexiglass to all vehicles.

Additional Plexiglass was added to the loading area a few weeks ago.

So far, only one train car has a Plexiglass divider with most cars being loaded as normal with social distancing. Unfortunately, we weren’t seated in the car with Plexiglass, but we did catch glimpses of it behind us.

There’s only one divider between the rows in the second car of a train.

With the apparent success of Plexiglass on Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance, we expect to see more dividers added to Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway in a few weeks. The dividers could allow two parties to share one car, therefore raising the attraction’s capacity.

  1. Disney does realize that plexiglass does nothing against aerosols. Which is what Covid is. It also is not a fun ride behind it. We did the safari , living with the land, and rise of the resistances belind it and it ruins the ride experience. There is no need to stuff the rides full if your only running 25 % capacity. If that is what Disney is doing.
