PHOTOS: Santa Gertie Arrives, Disney’s Hollywood Studios Gets Fully Decked Out for the 2020 Christmas Holiday Season
Hollywood is clamoring with Christmas cheer this morning as all of Disney’s Hollywood Studios has received the full-on Garland garland treatment. (No, not that Garland…)
As you enter the park, the silver screen tinsel has taken over shops like Crossroads of the World.
The streets are lined with garland strung across each building, with golden stars in the middle.
Santa makes his yearly appearance at the entrance to The Darkroom.
Mickey’s of Hollywood and Keystone Clothiers are decked out with wreaths.
In keeping with the 1950s vibe, you’ll notice that a lot of the holiday decor in the park takes inspiration from kitschy vintage classics like these little deer ornaments, ceramic poodles, and other things you’d normally see gracing your grandmother’s cupboards. If you’ve dined at 50’s Prime Time Cafe, you’ll also recognize a lot of these elements.
More creepy vintage figures to haunt your dreams.
A set of larger-than-life ornaments are stacked next to the towering Echo Lake tree.
As always, umbrellas are decked out with decorations and gold stars as well.
And of course, we have what everyone’s been waiting for: Santa Gertie!
The beloved dinosaur is now decorated with a Santa hat and a red ornament hanging down from her mouth as she munches on some winter greens.
Finally installed, the Christmas Tree looks as stunning as ever.
Sunset Boulevard was the first to be decked out in tinsel stars, but now it’s received additional wreaths and decorative touches.
