In an update to face mask announcements throughout Walt Disney World, as well as signage, it’s now been established that eating and drinking is no longer allowed within attraction queues.

New signage went up on trash cans throughout Toy Story Land in Disney’s Hollywood Studios, stating “No eating or drinking beyond this point.”

A new announcement also now plays within the queue for Kilimanjaro Safaris at Disney’s Animal Kingdom:

The new rule is likely in place due to new health and safety guidelines. Guests must remove their face masks in order to eat, naturally, and it’s harder to monitor and regulate social distancing within winding queues. Guests can still remove their masks to eat and drink while stationary, while inside restaurants (once seated at their table), and at designated Relaxation Stations.

  1. More draconian rules. Why don’t they stop serving food & drinks all together? Why don’t they serve only at Disney Springs? My husband & I were supposed to go this month, then maybe next year sometime, but with all the restrictions,Disney lost their magic.

  2. I LOVE WDW…
However I will not be renewing my expired AP until all these draconian and futile/excessive measures are over; face masks and social distancing have NOT reduced covid spikes; they don’t work, and any vaccines will not be mandatory or taken by the majority of the world’s population.

There’s no way I, or most, can enjoy the Disney Parks like this with all these restriction-measures. It is antithetical to the very nature of Walt Disney and the fun nature of WDW.

I don’t understand why WDW can’t fully reopen back to normal; covid is less dangerous and deadly than the flu and other diseases that world travels share at any theme park, and the Florida Governor already eliminated most restrictions.

I’m planning on going to the EPCOT FOA in late January/early February, like I do every year, but if all these restrictions continue, I’m not going, sadly. Not only are these restrictions absurd in the light and nature of ALL viruses, but financially/price wise, it’s definitely not worth it, as evidenced by the continuing decline in visitors and reservations.

Disney, this is very disheartening to us all, more than you comprehend from us.
End all restrictions, because by the very nature of this virus and all viruses, and your reasonings, you would have to permanently close or keep these silly restrictions permanently forever.
