PHOTOS, VIDEO: Tour A Remodeled “The Lion King” Family Suite at Disney’s Art of Animation Resort
You’ll wake up with “Circle of Life” stuck in your head every morning in this renovated family suite inspired by The Lion King at Disney’s Art of Animation Resort. Join us on a tour of the Pride Lands (and make sure to stay away from the Elephant Graveyard).
The walls of the suite are a jungle green, and you’ll be reminded of the oasis where Simba grew up with Timon and Pumbaa at this table.
The suite has new hard flooring resembling rocks.
Even the chairs look like leaves.
This is the perfect spot to eat some grubs.
Of course the table folds down to reveal a twin bed.
Simba is sleeping above the bed, where you’ll also find a knob for the adjustable lights.
The living room has more jungle-like furniture and accents. We love the giraffe peeking out from behind the sofa.
The sofa also pulls out into a bed.
The stools resemble stumps of wood. But the rings in the center are actually song lyrics from The Lion King.
This flowery lamp table is operated using a foot pedal.
Most of the furniture in the entire suite has a wood-colored base with a green top to look like trees.
Like all of Art of Animation’s renovated rooms, a piece has been added to the back of the dressers with more outlets, including USB ports.
The kitchenette includes all the usual amenities: microwave, mini-fridge, sink, and coffeemaker.
The first bathroom has a leafy mirror above the sink.
Timon and Pumbaa are celebrating having “no worries” on the shower curtain.
Inside the shower is the famous sunrise from the beginning of The Lion King.
The master bedroom is much of the same furniture.
Zazu soars through some flowers above the bed.
We continue to encounter disappointingly plain white sheets at these value resorts.
The plainness of the sheets wasn’t the only disappointing part. There was hair on our pillows as well.
The bed is now lifted off the ground, so guests can store luggage underneath it.
