If you’re looking for more sweet options at the 2020 Taste of EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays rather than savory, then we suggest heading to the Sweets & Treats booth. With cookies and hot cocoa on the menu, this holiday kitchen is full of festive and sugary desserts.

Hog Dog with Chips – $9.50

This was added in as a last-minute menu item and while it’s your basic hot dog and chips, it’s a good option if you’re with picky eaters or kids that wouldn’t try anything else on the Festival of the Holidays booth lineup.

Peppermint Sundae: Chocolate Ice Cream, Whipped Cream and Peppermint Candy – $5.25

Peppermint Sundae: Chocolate Ice Cream, Whipped Cream and Peppermint Candy – $5.25

Made with standard chocolate soft serve, this isn’t the peppermint ice cream the name might lead you to believe. The peppermint flakes do add enough holiday flavor amongst the chocolate and whipped cream, but overall, this is a rather conventional sundae.

Minnie Peppermint Cookie – $3.00

This was a beautiful presentation with a disappointing taste.

It was a crumbly, dry cookie with hard icing.

It had a nice peppermint flavor, but the cookie was so dry it was distracting. Too large of a bite left you needing a drink of water.

Other than the peppermint flavor, this is a basic, tasteless cookie. It doesn’t even have a good sugar cookie base.

We wouldn’t get this agian.

Hot Cocoa – $3.50

Hot Cocoa – $3.50
Hot Cocoa – $3.50

This is your standard Disney hot cocoa, similar to what you’d get at Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party and the like. Good for a chilly night, but there are far more interesting options on the festival food and beverage lineup.

Shipyard Eggnog White Porter, Clearwater, FL (6.5% ABV) – $4.50 (6 oz) / $8.50 (12 oz)

Head brewer Robert Baker provided us with this information: Also known as Straight to the ‘Noggin Eggnog Malt Beverage (due to state regulator requirements), Shipyard Eggnog White Porter “is loaded with flavor. It is full-bodied and has a wonderful silky, creamy texture. The aroma of nutmeg, mild spices, and sweet malts go Straight to the ‘Noggin. The perfect beer for any holiday party.”

M.I.A Beer Company Coquito Beer – $4.50 (6 oz) / $8.50 (12 oz)

Hot Cocoa with Assorted Cordials (Baileys Irish Cream [$21/bottle], Frangelico Liqueur [$22/bottle] or Fireball Cinnamon Whisky [$22/bottle]) – $11.00

Hot Cocoa with Assorted Cordials (Baileys Irish Cream [$21/bottle], Frangelico Liqueur [$22/bottle] or Fireball Cinnamon Whisky [$22/bottle]) – $11.00
Hot Cocoa with Assorted Cordials (Baileys Irish Cream [$21/bottle], Frangelico Liqueur [$22/bottle] or Fireball Cinnamon Whisky [$22/bottle]) – $11.00

All three of these alcoholic hot chocolates are delicious. The hot chocolate is thick and not watery, and has a good amount of alcohol in each cup. However, you could easily replicate these at home for probably a cheaper price.

Chocolate Peppermint Shake Featuring Twinings® Peppermint Cheer Tea and Whipped Cream Vodka – $11.00

*NEW* Chocolate Peppermint Shake Featuring Twinings® Peppermint Cheer Tea and Whipped Cream Vodka – $11.00

These peppermint shakes are good, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic. The non-alcoholic option of this beverage comes in a larger cup and with a striped paper straw. The caffeine-free tea that is added gives it somewhat of a minty aftertaste, but it blends well with the rest of the drink. The whipped cream vodka really elevates it from a standard hot chocolate that you can get around the park.
