James Cameron Shares New Behind-the-Scenes Photos From Massive Set of “Avatar” Sequels

James Cameron has shared a couple of on-set photos from the filming of the “Avatar” sequels. The photos included a massive command boat as well as a Mercedes-Benz equipped with filming rigs. Pandora looks a lot different on this side of the camera!

Here’s a closer look at the photos:

For folks not familiar with movie industry lingo, Technocranes are telescoping cranes designed to assist with filming. A Russian Arm is described by its creators as “the most flexible and stable camera system on the market”.

Unfortunately, COVID-19 caused delays in the filming schedule of the sequels. The long-awaited sequels to the record breaking 2009 film are currently set to be released every other December, starting with “Avatar 2” on December 16, 2022.
