The Disney-owned El Capitan Theatre may currently be closed, but it is doing what it can to help fans celebrate the holidays. The El Capitan Theatre is offering personalized holiday messages on its marquee. The historic theatre is also shipping its Concessions To-Go items and streaming movie trivia. All options are part of the the El Capitan Theatre’s “Winter Cheer” promotion.

El Capitan Theatre Marquee Digital Only and Live Packages

Three marquee packages are available. Animated graphic elements can be added for a $50 charge.

El Capitan Package – $200
• Your message appears in rotation with theatre content for 8 hours (appearing at least once per hour)
• Static hold on the marquee at a mutually agreed upon time
• Digital photograph of your Marquee Message

Hollywood Package – $100
• Your message appears in rotation with theatre content for 4 hours (appearing at least once per hour)
• Digital photograph of your Marquee Message

Digital Package – $25
• Digital photograph of your Marquee Message

Digital marquee messages do not appear on the theatre’s marquee.

The El Capitan Theatre also announced that it will be streaming movie trivia. The “El Cap Throwback Movie Trivia Merry & Bright Delights Edition” will stream December 8. Registration is $10 per log-in and closes at 3:00 PM on December 8.
