Paddock Pool Waterslide Closing For Refurbishment at Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa

According to an advisory on the Walt Disney World website, the waterslide at Paddock Pool in Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa will be closing for refurbishment soon.

The advisory reads:

The Paddock Pool waterslide at Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa will close for refurbishment beginning this winter. As part of this work, the bridge connecting The Paddock to other resort areas will also temporarily close. Guests can board the resort shuttle or follow posted signage for alternative routes around the lake while the bridge is under refurbishment. Not to worry, the Paddock Pool will remain open through the majority of this work. Additionally, Guests can enjoy the High Rocks Spring feature pool and waterslide, as well as two leisure pools at the resort.

Paddock Pool hosts a 146-foot-long waterslide flowing from a water tower. There are also two pint-sized waterslides for children that will remain open.

It seems Disney is focusing on waterslide refurbishments, as this announcement comes right after the new Keister Coaster was revealed at Disney’s BoardWalk Resort. The Paddock Pool waterslide is not nearly as infamous as the Keister Coaster’s old clown face, so this refurbishment will most likely not be as drastic of a change.

The advisory does not give a specific timeline for the refurbishment, but it will probably last a few months.

  1. Refurbishment of a pool? thats the first time im hearing this, wonder why.. other than to fish out the assortment of snicker bars from the pool floor i cant think of any other good reason

  2. went to saratoga in december. their “new” refurbishment took all the spa tubs out of the rooms. extremely disappointing to say the least. maybe they should drop “spa” from the name?
