Hello from a chilly but beautiful day here at the Magic Kingdom! It was definitely a cold day today, but we were excited to take advantage of the lower crowds to browse around and find all the new, fun things to share with you. Let’s get started!
Hats, scarves, and sweaters were out in force in the stores today to help guests stay warm, and we found a new addition to the character beanies in among them. This Rainbow Unicorn themed beanie is perfect for the Inside Out fan looking to stay warm at the parks or at home. It retails for $19.99.
Next, we found this adorable pair, the latest in the Wishables blind bag series. This set is special, as 100% of the purchase price of this series goes towards the Make-A-Wish Foundation. For more pictures and information, check out our article here.
Continuing the theme of frequently finding Limited Edition pins, we found this “Park Cruisers” pin featuring Dumbo The Flying Elephant at Frontier Trading Co. This pin retails for $17.99 and has an edition size of 2000.
Cases for the iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Pro came to the MaDe kiosk in Tomorrowland Light & Power Co a few days ago, but only the Specialty cases were available. As of today, the entire MaDe catalog is now available for these two new phone models. We are still waiting for cases for the iPhone 12 Pro Max.
We found quite a bargain while shopping at Sir Mickey’s behind Cinderella Castle. All costume dresses, previously on sale for buy one get one half off, are now buy one get one free.
This is a wonderful deal, especially with Christmas coming up! We wish these dresses came in our size.
Walking through the park, we were really surprised how thin the crowds were today. Wait times were lower for most of the attractions, too. The fact that it’s the week after Thanksgiving and the first really cold few days here in Florida are definitely the causes for these lighter crowds, but we still enjoyed the elbow room!
With the holiday week over, we noticed something else besides the crowds was missing. The Lunching Pad and Friar’s Nook had both started serving breakfast last week, and we were excited to see this new addition to the food options in the Magic Kingdom. Today, the Lunching Pad was not serving breakfast. We asked the Cast Member there and we were told that the breakfast menu was only for the holiday week, and would return for Christmas week, but would be unavailable aside from that.
It was the same story at Friar’s Nook. They were closed during their usual breakfast hours, and when we asked the Cast Members there later, they said breakfast would only be served Thanksgiving week and Christmas week. We’re disappointed we won’t be able to get breakfast here regularly!
We spotted a certain bear while walking the park today. We love seeing the Muppets out greeting guests!
We checked in a few construction projects around the park today, the first of which was on Main Street, USA. The side marquees for the false shop front of “Main Street Fashion & Apparel” were being refurbished, and were covered in painted scrim fabric, but that work has been completed.
Both marquees are revealed now, and appear to have fresh paint.
The corner scrim tower surrounding this turret at “it’s a small world” has been removed. The turret appears to have gotten a new roof, as the other turrets on the attraction have.
At the corner of the large painted scrim covering the main attraction building, painting work can be seen being done to the facade of the building.
In the drained Rivers of America, work continues to replace the track for the Liberty Square Riverboat. Old track pieces can be seen piled up on the bank of the river.
Even at midday, crowds on Main Street, U.S.A. weren’t too bad. We’ll take that view any day!
On our way out of the park, we found a new hot beverage stand had been brought out by the entrance to Main Street, USA. Hot cocoa was the only thing available here, but it was the perfect thing to warm you up!
We had a wonderful day at the Magic Kingdom, and we hope you enjoyed coming along with us. Have a magical day!
