It’s another busy day here at the Universal Orlando Resort. The parks have hit capacity the last few days, but today we were surprised to find the crowds weren’t too bad. The parks did not reach capacity today, but they certainly were busy. Let’s jump in and see what’s happening around the resort this afternoon.
The weather is beautiful and we’re heading to Universal Studios Florida first.
In Diagon Alley, Eternelle’s Elixir of Refreshment has reopened. This stand in Carkitt Market serves elixirs to transform your Gilly Water into a flavored beverage. You can choose from Fire Protection Potion, Elixir to Induce Euphoria, Draught of Peace, or Babbling Beverage Mixture.
Dippin’ Dots is just a memory now. On our last visit, we noticed the menu had been removed and now the snack stand has been transformed. The Dippin’ Dots signage has been replaced with Universal Studios Florida signs and a new menu. You can now find nachos, chips and queso, and churro bites from this stand.
We stopped into the KidZone Pizza Company to grab some Pizza Fries and they were even better than we remembered.
We also decided to stop and grab a funnel cake from the food truck. Unfortunately, this might have been the second hardest funnel cake we’ve ever had (right after the one from the Halloween food truck). We really enjoyed the Maple Bacon and Nutty Turtle Funnel Cakes, but this was a bad experience.
Over at Islands of Adventure, we found that more construction walls have come down in Jurassic Park. The walls around the show building across from Pizza Predattoria have been removed, making the pathway much wider. Summer 2021 isn’t too far away now!
More seating has been set up in front of the Burger Digs entrance. Now guest have even more places to sit and relax while they have a snack.
The Virtual Line for Hagrid’s Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure was backed up to the Fire Eater’s Grill in the Lost Continent when we passed by. At least they have a small drink stand set up in the area.
It’s a bit chilly today, so Betty Boop has her winter coat on.
Out in CityWalk, we stopped into the Toothsome Chocolate Emporium and were impressed by their selection of Hot Cocoa Bombs. They come in Cookies and Cream, Gingerbread S’mores, Peppermint, and Salted Caramel for $10 each.
We decided to take home a Gingerbread S’mores Hot Coca Bomb for later. And grabbed a gingerbread marshmallow cookie sandwich for now.
That’s all for this visit to the Universal Orlando Resort. Thanks for joining us today and make sure you keep following Universal Parks News Today for all the latest updates!
