The refurbishment of the Hotel Plaza Boulevard entrance sign is complete. After receiving prep work and primer, the sign has been painted in the Walt Disney World Resort 50th Anniversary color scheme. Like the recently completed Western Way entrance sign, royal blue and gold dominate the design.

Unlike the Western Way entrance sign, the Hotel Plaza Boulevard sign does not have an arch. Mickey Mouse and the “Welcome to Walt Disney World Resort” sign are on the right side of the road.

The letters are attached to the wall. The background has been painted royal blue.

A gold banner has been added above the welcome sign. Like the Western Way entrance sign, the banner reads “The Most Magical Place on Earth.”

At night, the sign is illuminated by lights that are placed along the hedges.

The background behind Mickey Mouse has changed from the previous purple to royal blue. The support columns, which were previously brick red, are now varying shades of gray.

Across Hotel Plaza Boulevard, the Minnie Mouse sign has also been refurbished.

Minnie received the same treatment as Mickey, with a new background and freshly painted columns.

With the completion of the Hotel Plaza Boulevard entrance sign, three additional entrance signs await refurbishment: World Drive, World Center Drive, and Osceola Parkway. The Magic Kingdom toll plaza 50th Anniversary refurbishment was completed in mid-November.
