PHOTOS: Imagineer Zach Riddley Shares Sneak Peek of New EPCOT Entrance Fountain

With just two weeks left in 2020 and EPCOT’s new entrance fountain set to open “by the end of the year”, all eyes are on the park’s main entrance plaza as we anxiously await the removal of “Progress Walls” to reveal the grand and miraculous lucite pylons in all their glory. Today, Imagineer Zach Riddley has shared an update of sorts on the fountain via his Instagram page.

Along with a few artsy glamour shots of the lucite pylons and water running down the fountain, Riddley shared the following caption harkening to the beginnings of EPCOT Center:

EPCOT’s classic geometry and materials – stone, acrylic, metal, water and shadow – continue to inspire our designers as we put the final touches on our main entrance plaza.

His caption speaks to the design elements that the fountain will bring, in addition to the kinetic energy of water rushing down the geometric raised forms of the fountain’s base.

Of course, WDI has had a rather sneaky history of sharing updates like these shortly before a big unveiling, so we could well see the long-awaited reveal of the EPCOT entrance fountain in the next few days.
