If you love Aladdin merchandise, your wish has been granted… and with it, Disney is looking to make even more wishes come true.
The Magic Carpets of Aladdin Disney Parks Wishables collection has arrived at Walt Disney World and on shopDisney, featuring beloved characters and icons from the 1992 animated film and Magic Kingdom attraction.
But perhaps the biggest feature of these new collectables is actually financial. Disney has announced that for the first time, 100% of the purchase price from the series will be donated to Make-A-Wish, joining the “Wishes Come True Blue” collection and vintage Mickey Mouse plush as merchandise that will help the foundation. So far, the sale of merchandise benefiting the foundation has raised $591,100.
Like other Wishables collections, the series consists of a mystery bag featuring four different characters, and an open release, which in the case of Aladdin, features the Genie.
And here’s the magic dude himself in all his blueness!
This little guy’s got stars in his eyes… literally!
The tag on the plush explains how they support Make-A-Wish, which celebrates its 40th anniversary this year.
Meanwhile, the mystery bag features Aladdin, Jasmine, the Magic Carpet, and the magic lamp.
Aladdin and Jasmine are dressed in the outfits they appear in for most of the film, while the carpet and lamp have been given super-cute smiles.
Perhaps in a nod to the genie who calls it home, the lamp offers a mischievous wink.
The mystery bag and the Genie plush can also be purchased on shopDisney. Both items retail for $9.99 each. At Walt Disney World, we found them at the Emporium in the Magic Kingdom.
