Last month, work began on the facade of the upcoming Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind coaster at EPCOT. As of today, part of the facade is now covered in scrim.
The metal structure is still visible on the right and somewhat behind the scrim, but the most visible section of the building is now blocked.
Black curtain has been hanging across the front of the building for several months.
Wood paneling now covers most of the corrugated panels on the roof, where solar panels will eventually be installed.
The scrim wrapped section at the front is the site of the future Xandarian Nova Corps spaceship.
Here is the most recent concept art for the attraction’s exterior, revealed at last year’s D23 Expo.
Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind has gotten a lot of hype lately as work on the project is progressing after months of delays. We got a first look at the inside of the track and its ride vehicles a few weeks ago, and Groot even recently visited the attraction.
