Since we last checked in on the construction of Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind at EPCOT, some changes have been made on the roof.
Work on the facade continues, but looks roughly the same as a few days ago.
Wood paneling has appeared on top of some of the corrugated metal panels on the roof.
Eventually, solar panels will be installed on the roof. This will pay homage to the building’s original attraction and theme: Universe of Energy.
Gray scrim has gone up around part of the facade work, next to the scrim hiding the Xandarian Nova Corps spaceship.
There’s a yellow railing along the edge of the roof as work continues.
Here is the most recent concept art for the attraction’s exterior, revealed at last year’s D23 Expo.

Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind is set to open in 2021. Recent milestones include the arrival of the rollercoaster cars and a testing video.

Anyone out there in the construction industry? The beams on this building look like they are sprayed with asbestos insulation?
