REVIEW: New White Chocolate Snowman Cake is Worth Melting For This Christmas at EPCOT
Winter’s a good time to stay in and cuddle but put me in summer and I’ll be a…happy snowman! Disney has now embraced a different ending to that classic line from Frozen. Now at EPCOT, you can get your own melting snowman cupcake from Sunshine Seasons in The Land Pavilion.
Melting Snowman Cake – $5.99
Vanilla Cake with White Chocolate and Peppermint Mousse topped with a Melting Snowman
Billed as a cupcake on the menu, this is actually a slab of festive-colored cake with a melted snowman on top. The Sunshine Seasons bakery team always does an incredible job with their treats, and this turned out to be just as adorable as it is delicious.
The green-colored vanilla cake sandwiches a thick layer of minty white chocolate mousse, with white chocolate dripping down the sides and crispy chocolate pearls. Ultimately, we preferred this to a cupcake since it’s a much more generous serving.
Here’s a close-up of the snowman, with his little chocolate arms stretched out of the melted snow.
We can’t help but feel bad for the little guy, but we’ve got to dig in anyway.

The dense cake was packed with vanilla flavor, with a bit of peppermint shining through in the thick, sweet mousse. We would’ve preferred a bit more peppermint to really make the flavors pop, but the milder flavors make this a much more approachable dessert for guests of all ages.
The crispy pearls in between the layers had lost some of their crunch from the moisture of the cake, but were still good.
If you don’t mind a vanilla-forward, otherwise plain dessert, this one takes a great photo and will satisfy your sweet tooth. Had this packed more of a peppermint-y punch, it would definitely be on our must-try list. This snowman cupcake is only available Christmas week, so get it now if you want to try it.
