The Waffles booth has reopened at the Taste of EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays with new menu items. Keep reading for our reviews of the new gingerbread waffle and turkey and waffle dishes.
Gingerbread Waffle – $4.25
Served with Whipped Cream and Citrus-Cranberry Sauce
The waffle itself is subtle gingerbread without the strong flavor we were expecting, but still very good.
The whipped cream is nice and fresh.
The cranberry sauce adds a flavorful kick and the cinnamon sugar topping finishes things nicely.
This is a yummy treat we would definitely order again.
Turkey and Waffle – $6.50
Stuffing Waffle with Turkey, Gravy, and Cranberry
The stuffing is delicious. It’s seasoned nicely and still moist despite having been through the waffle-maker.
The turkey is white meat and comes in a generous portion. It’s moist as well and tastes great.
The gravy is not too overpowering. It has a good consistency to stay on the food.
The cranberry sauce does have whole berries in it.
Overall, this is a super tasty treat and our new favorite classic turkey dish (even over the poutine) at EPCOT right now. We’ll definitely be getting this again.
Waffles is located in Future World West along the pathway between the Imagination pavilion and World Showcase. Will you be trying these new snacks? Let us know in the comments.
This is exactly what we did with the leftover turkey this year! I used a standard waffle mix, adding a bit of salt to the mix and making the waffles extra crispy.
Then we piled them high with the turkey, cranberry sauce, bacon…. Yum! I love waffle sandwiches. We use to have a waffle sandwich place near us and went there often (called Brunei, and they still have a couple places in Orange County, CA).
If you haven’t made waffle sandwiches yet – do so! They are great.
Yes yes yes I will definitely get the turkey waffle probably more than once!!!
The waffle stand was closed when we walked by today, 12/14
Appears to be weekends only
