Greetings, World Travelers, and welcome to a chilly but beautiful day here at EPCOT! We came to find out what might be new here, and we certainly had a busy day. Let’s get started!
This structure in the ceiling of the Innoventions East building was bare framing on the outside yesterday, but has been covered with drywall today.
The shop in the front of the Morocco Pavilion got a bit of a glow-up with new decorations added to the colorful doors.
The refreshment cart near Mouse Gear is in the process of reopening, and will be serving ice cream, beverages, and pretzels. The menu boards are still blank, so other offerings may be on their way.
The video screen in the “Rally of the Gazelles” exhibit was turned off today. The mock vehicle has been blocked off from guests since shortly after the parks reopened, but the video has been inconsistently off and on.
The new “The Soul of Jazz: An American Adventure” exhibit, due to open on February 1st, is replacing the Walt Disney Imagineering artwork in The American Adventure. For more pictures and information, check out our article here.
The Festival Market booth in the Germany Pavilion has been swapped over from Festival merchandise to open edition pins and lanyards. There are now two pin booths in World Showcase, one here and one in the Canada Pavilion.
It’s been over three weeks since Donald was removed from the final scene of Gran Fiesta Tour, and today the plot thickened even further. The remaining two animatronics were removed as well and all three characters were replaced with character flats. We wish we could say that we were optimistic about the animatronic’s return, but after the last few weeks of Donald’s absence, this new development concerns us even further. For more pictures and video, check out our article here.
We found Anna greeting guests in the Norway Pavilion from the lawn again, instead of the traditional meet and greet spot on the porch in front of the building to her left. We even asked the Cast Members attending her what the reason was for her location change, but they simply said she “goes where she wants to”.
We found a new Pandora charm for Valentine’s Day at Mouse Gear featuring Mickey and Minnie leaning in for a kiss. The charm swivels apart, revealing the heart background and separating the couple. This charm retails for $65.00.
We also found new merchandise for Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure available in the France Pavilion, including these adorable new ears. For more pictures and information, check out our article here.
We had a wonderful day at EPCOT, and we hope you enjoyed coming along with us. Have a magical day!
Country pavilions are 80%+ closed! Very disappointed with our trip this year. Paid the same as last year for 20% of the attractions.
