It’s another beautiful day and we’re back at the Universal Orlando Resort to check in on all the happenings. As we arrived this morning, we were told that Universal Orlando is testing something new with their Prime Parking. Instead of parking on the 3rd level, guests using Prime Parking will be sent to whatever floor that everyone else is parking on and be directed to the closest section. That would mean guests with Prime Parking could be parking in Spiderman or Jurassic Park, but not necessarily on the same level as security.
It seemed a bit chaotic at first, but being on level 4 of Spiderman sure beats parking at the end of Jaws on level 3. We’ll be monitoring this new parking process to see if it stays or returns back to the previous way.
The globe wasn’t spinning this morning, but we noticed it would start spinning again later in the morning, and end up stationary again by the end of the day.
First stop of the day is for a Hot Butterbeer!
We made our way quickly around the parks thanks to the low crowds.
Revenge of the Mummy recently reopened for refurbishment, so we were surprised it only had a 15 minute wait this afternoon. We love these kind of days. Even if the hours are shorter, you can get a lot more done while visiting the parks on a weekday.
Islands of Adventure was also extremely quiet. When Hogsmeade is empty, that’s when you know the parks are dead.
It’s really been the perfect afternoon for crowds.
We stopped into the Toothsome Chocolate Emporium and Savory Feast Kitchen and had some appetizers after a long day in the parks. We had the Avocado Bruschetta and the Philly Cheesesteak Rolls.
That’s all for today. Thanks for joining us and stay tuned for more updates from WDWNT and Universal Parks News Today.
We were there on the 20th and it looked nothing like these pictures. It was crowded especially in Harry Potter!
