Welcome to another wild day at the Universal Orlando Resort. We decided to make our way over to Islands of Adventure first to check in on some of the new raptors.

As we made our way over to the park, we noticed the construction walls around the new store in CityWalk have been moved farther out into the pathway.

We decided to switch things up and visit Islands of Adventure first today. Most people make their way directing to the Wizarding World in the morning, so other parts of the park can be really quiet.

Tigress was out greeting guests, so we stopped by to say hello.

Hogwarts Castle is beautiful, especially with low crowds in Hogsmeade.

We spotted a “Hot Set” area in Jurassic Park near the Jurassic World VelociCoaster and would later find out there was promotional filming taking place.

The Jurassic World VelociCoaster was cycling the track with actual riders for the promotional filming. You can see more photos here and the video below.

It’s a quiet afternoon at Universal Studios Florida.

The food truck from KidZone has been moved to New York near the Park Plaza Holiday Shop.

Three new face masks are available. There are two velociraptor masks and one Mardi Gras mask. We had to have them all.

The lagoon platform is now partially covered in water, so hopefully that’s a good sign that the work is nearing completion.

The pressed penny machine in the Kwik-E-Mart has been replaced by a cooler full of energy drinks.
