Pop Warner National Championship Moving from Walt Disney World to Universal Orlando Resort

Walt Disney World has been home to the Pop Warner National Championship week for several years, but the event is now moving to Universal Orlando Resort.

Pop Warner’s annual Super Bowl and National Cheer and Dance Championships have been held in Orlando for 25 years. Beginning this year, they are partnering with Florida Citrus Sports to make a long-term move to the Camping World Stadium and Universal Orlando Resort.

According to Pop Warner’s website, the change is at least partially due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The Pop Warner and Disney partnership was paused last year due to the pandemic, and before a new agreement could be reached, Walt Disney World was tasked with hosting the MLS and NBA at the ESPN Wide World of Sports complex. Pop Warner then set about finding a new home.

The Pop Warner National Championship week takes place in December every year. The exact 2021 dates have not yet been announced.
