On rare cold Batuu days, travelers can pick up a special cider at Ronto Roasters. Spiced Surabat Cider is only available when the temperature drops low enough, and you can get it spiked for an extra punch of warmth or keep it non-alcoholic so your wits are sharp for Millennium Falcon: Smuggler’s Run. We picked up the cider on our latest trip to a chilly Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge in Disney’s Hollywood Studios.

Hot Apple Cider with notes of Hickory Smoke and Winter Spices

The cider was served warm, not as hot as the description and cup might suggest. It’s a 16oz drink, which is a good size considering the price. The spiked version of the drink is $13.00.

It’s topped off with a layer of chopped apple bits. The flavor of the cider is really quite pleasing. It has a deep cider taste, in no way resembling apple juice (or any kind of juice) as one might fear.

The spiced element kicks in several seconds of each sip, with a mild taste of black pepper. The apple bits add a lovely touch of texture, but the cider stands on its own even without this addition.

Overall, this is an excellent cider with a surprisingly great taste, served in a large portion at a fair price. Needless to say, we would gladly order this again on another chilly morning, though hopefully it would be served hotter next time.

Spiced Surabat Cider is only available at Ronto Roasters when the temperature is approximately 50°F (10°C) or below. It’s also only been available during breakfast hours, sometimes disappearing at 10:00 AM, sometimes at 11:00 AM. Keep in mind that no matter what, Ronto Roasters is still operating at limited hours, closing at 3:00 PM daily.
