This was served cold, as you might imagine. It’s a salty, tender steak complimented well by the bearnaise sauce.

You won’t regret allowing the sous vide quail egg to run down the tartare. We highly recommend this dish.

*NEW* Salt-roasted Beet Tartare with Pickled Vegetables, Parsley Salad, and Béarnaise Aioli – $6.50

This was just okay. It’s a pile of diced, salted beets. The cauliflower had pungent, strong vinegar flavor to it. We wouldn’t recommend this.

*NEW* Pistachio Cake with Cherry Mousse and Morello Cherries – $5.50

This cake was fantastic. It was a rich, pistachio-flavored cake with small pieces of nuts inside. The strong pistachio flavors were offset nicely with the cherry mousse. The Morello cherries were rich and chocolatey with a subdued cherry flavor. This is a must-get!

*NEW* Kalimotxo – $6.00

This is very weird. We don’t know who wants Mr. Pibb in wine, but those people need to be stopped. It tastes like someone dropped soda in your wine. Don’t bother trying it.

*NEW* Frozen Rusty Nail – $15.00

This is probably what you would expect. It tastes like pure alcohol. If you like your drinks on the “jet fuel” side, go for it. If not, stay away.

*NEW* Pinord La Dama Reserva Familiar Brut Rosé – $12.00

Wine Enthusiast‘s Michael Schachner describes this wine: “A light-pink color is backed by a simple nose that’s nondescript but fresh and clean. A slightly foamy but firm palate isn’t all that deep or rich, while mild grapefruit and blood orange flavors finish steady.”

  1. Tom, Thanks for the tip! The Pistachio Cake was our favorite item of the day.
