The Liquid Layer interactive fountain at EPCOT has been surrounded by construction walls for almost four months with no visible construction. But a new permit from Walt Disney World indicates that construction will finally begin soon.
The permit contracts Disney’s Buena Vista Construction Company to provide “labor, material and/or electrical” for the project. We don’t yet know the extent of the construction that will be taking place at the Liquid Layer. It’s possible this will be a refurbishment, re-theming, or all-together removal.
The Liquid Layer is a refreshing splash pad for kids (and, let’s be honest, some adults) during Florida’s summer months. Hopefully, whatever work is being done on the area will be done by the time Orlando heats up.
