Hong Kong Disneyland Likely to Reopen Soon, Restrictions Lifting February 18

Beginning February 18, Hong Kong will ease coronavirus restrictions which have been set in place to minimize the spread of the virus. This could mean the re-opening of sports and entertainment facilities, extending dining hours, and pave the way for a Hong Kong Disneyland reopening. The relaxation is due to a steady decline in daily cases.

Health Secretary Sophia Chan said on Wednesday that catering businesses would be able to operate until 10 pm, granting them an additional four hours. Beauty salons, theme parks, cinemas and all sports facilities would be allowed to resume with conditions in place.

“We are cautiously optimistic on the pandemic,” Chan told a news conference,

Hong Kong Disneyland temporarily closed for the third time on December 2 due to the pandemic.
