PHOTO REPORT: Magic Kingdom 2/12/21 (Monorail Red Returns After Refurbishment, Main Attraction Loungefly Bags Appear, New MaDe Designs Available, and More)
Hello from the perfect start to a holiday weekend! We had another perfect weather day today as the first of the travelers arrived for the long weekend. We spent our day at the Magic Kingdom seeing what new things we could find there. Let’s get started!
Monorail Red has returned to service after refurbishment, with new delta decals and a refreshed interior. For more pictures and information, check out our article here.
We found additional scaffolding and scrim added to the construction walls surrounding the Peter Pan’s Flight queue area this morning. It appears that the walls have stopped growing in length but are now growing in height.
The Hall of Presidents remains closed to accommodate the addition of the new President. No reopening date is known.
Refurbishment continues on Bonjour! Village Gifts, with this wall recently having been painted green. The mural that was there, being an advertisement of sorts for a shop front, has been painted over, but is still visible through the green paint. We’ll be keeping a close eye on this project as it progresses. For more pictures and information, check out our article here.
The large “Kingdom of Dreams” float used in the Royal Princess Processional was missing for a day, forcing the Princesses who rode it to walk the parade route. We were happy to see it return to service today, complete with the Fairy Godmother in her usual spot at the very top.
The Tiki Sipper has returned to Aloha Isle Refreshments, but is currently only available through walk up sales. This item is not currently available through Mobile Order.
Since the reopening of the parks, smaller Cavalcades have replaced larger Parades, and, with the exception of temporary holiday offerings, have remained the same since they began. Today we noticed that the Mickey & Friends Cavalcade was operating with a different float, and with the characters arranged differently on the float itself. We also noticed that the screen on the side said “Magic Kingdom Cavalcade” instead of “Mickey & Friends Cavalcade”. We are curious if this is a permanent change or a temporary one, but we’ll be sure to keep an eye on it! We love Cavalcades no matter what name they go by.
The Minnie Mouse: The Main Attraction has been over since mid December of last year, but we were surprised to see two different months’ installments’ Loungefly mini backpacks available for purchase at Uptown Jewelers today. The backpack on the bottom was the December installment, and was very popular and difficult to acquire.
We found two new Open Edition pins today at The Emporium featuring a fun hand-drawn art look of “Alice In Wonderland” and “Beauty and the Beast” characters. Each pin retails for $12.99.
We found a new addition to the Valentine’s Day newsprint line with this raglan shirt, available for $39.99 at Star Traders.

We found quite a few new items in the MaDe kiosk in Tomorrowland Light & Power Co, starting with this Forky design for Valentine’s Day.
We found this line of Ahsoka Tano pieces, including a MagicBand and three phone cases, with different art styles so there’s something for everyone. Magnets start at $14.99, MagicBands start at $24.99, and phone cases start at $29.99.
We found new additions in the MaDe shirt kiosk as well, starting with these three “Frozen” character designs.
Lastly, we found these three shirts featuring designs from “WandaVision”. All shirts are customizable and start at $29.99.
We found two new ombré sweatshirts at The Emporium today, one featuring the Walt Disney World logo and the other featuring Marie and the phrase “It’s All About Me-Now”. Each one retails for $44.99.
We found two new treats today, and were ready to use the force to get our macaron back! Now you can try Grogu’s second favorite space snack. For our full review, check out our article here.
There’s a new cake pop in town, and don’t worry, this one isn’t made of pure sugar, as most of them seemingly are. For our full review, check out our article here.
After spending our day at the park, we headed over to the Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort to wind down for a bit. We found this Enchanted Tiki Room cardholdert at Boutiki for $14.99.
While we were there, we noticed that the Cast Members at Capt. Cooks had gotten new outfits with a subtle Moana nod. We love them!
On our way home, we stopped by Gideon’s Bakehouse in Disney Springs to get a good look at the brand new packaging in person. To say that they’re beautiful is an understatement-every detail here at Gideon’s is exquisite, and these new boxes are no exception.
We had a wonderful day at the Magic Kingdom, and we hope you enjoyed coming along with us. Have a magical day!
