After we learned about the new Key to the World designs debuting at Walt Disney World, we went in search of them at a resort so we could get a closer look at them.
Key to the World cards act as a room key, park ticket, and credit card. They had mostly fallen out of use in the past several years as MagicBands were used, but resort guests are no longer receiving free MagicBands so the key cards have been updated.
Each card has a different one of the “Sensational Six” against a solid color background.
The character styles are the same as in the newer Mickey Mouse animated shorts.
The cards also have the Walt Disney World logo and “The Most Magical Place on Earth” printed on top.
The backs of the cards have the codes needed for room entry, etc.

i don’t get it. they finally work out all the bugs with magic bands, install all the hardware in all the parks and hotels for magic band use, and now this? it is like the DOT that repaves a street and one week later someone is tearing it up to fix something.
