Today, while we were touring around Jurassic Park at Universal’s Island of Adventure, we noticed some improvements taking place.
First off, we noticed that the Jurassic Outfitters sign was missing the word “Outfitters”.
The dinosaur skull in the middle of the sign was also removed. We were told that the store was not changing its name but just getting a refreshed sign.
Here is what the sign looked like previously:
Secondly, we also noticed some planters in the vicinity were repainted in bright colors.
The new color scheme features sandy yellow, green and tan colors. Most of the area around Thunder Falls Terrace has been redone.
Here’s what the rocks looked like before the paint refresh:
We noticed the fresh paint job extended to many other areas nearby as well.
Outside of Thunder Falls Terrace, you can see the old versus new color scheme side-by-side for comparison.
We even found the new brightly colored rocks along the viewing area for Jurassic Park River Adventure.
These changes are likely due to the preparations being made for Jurassic World VelociCoaster which is scheduled to open this year at Universal’s Islands of Adventure.
